Master Plan

 
PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Master Plan is to serve as a guide for decisions on building improvements and potential new construction during the coming 15 - 20 years, as decided from time to time by the St. Mark Congregation, in consultation with the Knoxville District, consistent with requirements of the UMC.
 
OVERVIEW:
A description of the planning process, the proposed plan, potential phasing, an estimate of the potential costs, and next steps is presented in the Master Plan Overview.
 
THE PLAN:
The Master Plan proposed for consideration by the Congregation has focused upon a range of issues and challenges related to our present facilities. The issues are noted below in the priority order established following meetings to secure input of the Congregation.
  • Accessibility
  • Dedicated space for our Youth
  • Storage space
  • SMEEP
  • Multi-purpose facility
  • Enhanced presence from Northshore Drive

ESTIMATE OF PROBABLE COST:
A local General Contractor, at the request of the Architect and the Planning Team, provided an estimated probable construction cost. These costs for the overall project and for Phase 1 are described in the Master Plan Overview.
