MUSIC

The Music Ministry at St. Mark Church is blessed to have many loving supporters of all ages. Most of all, we have been blessed with members of our church who embrace and KNOW that the love and power of God and of his Son can not only be felt in the Word, but in also the music.

Chancel Choir
The Adult Chancel Choir is the "backbone" of the St. Mark Music Ministry. This group sings in the 10:00 am service every Sunday and meets for rehearsal every Wednesday at 6:30pm.

Handbells
An instrumental ministry has also taken root at St. Mark with the acquisition of a three-octave handbell set. We anticipate having three ensembles in the near future, so you should hear more about this soon. We practice each Monday (September through May) at 6:00 pm. Please join us.

The Choristers
The Choristers is a children’s choir for ages 3 to 11 (and sometimes beyond!) who sing regularly in church.  We perform a wide variety of music, from hymns to praise music and everything in between.  We also play percussion instruments and children’s hand bells. We learn about singing technique, music reading and lyric reading.

We will be singing or playing bells in worship at least quarterly throughout the year. Each year we perform a longer program near Christmastime (mid-December) and close to Palm Sunday/Easter (March or April).

"Shout with joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious! Say to God, 'How awesome are your deeds!' So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you. All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you; they sing praise to your name." -- Psalm 66:1-4
